CampLife is a reservation and management software for campgrounds and RV parks and sharing this software with potential clients begins whenever a park owner requests a demo.
When our partnership began, Google Ads was delivering steady traffic from owners searching for campground software CampLife knew demo requests could increase with a more robust approach to marketing. Our team:
Audited and rebuilt the existing Google Ads account which included optimizing keywords, placements, and campaigns to avoid ad spend that didn’t produce demos
Launched retargeting campaigns on Meta that turned existing site traffic into demo requests for less than the lead cost on Google
Strategized and tested a series of lead magnets (a system-wide data report, seasonal operations guides, email marketing templates, and owner webinars) to grow CampLife's email list and create a warm audience to retarget

As the partnership began, a full account audit surfaced keywords carrying quality scores of 1 and 2 while costing more than $20 per click and campaigns that generated clicks but no demos. We paused struggling campaigns, expanded negative keyword lists, and cut search terms that were pulling in the wrong audience entirely (people looking for a campsite vs campground owners looking for help managing their park).

Wanting to rely on more than Google traffic to build an audience to retarget, we tested a sequence of lead magnets: a system-wide data report drawn from booking activity across hundreds of CampLife parks, a long-term and seasonal guest playbook, and owner-focused webinars.
The data report lead magnet ran for several consecutive months at a cost per lead of $7.20 and a seasonal park guide had a cost per download of $3.50. Each of these downloads equaled a new potential customer for CampLife to continue engaging with through their weekly email newsletter.
$149.32 per booked demo through Meta retargeting (66.4% reduction of cost compared to the cost of leads from Google search)
617 email registrations at $8.19/lead, building the audience that makes retargeting possible
16,600+ qualified clicks with budget redirected out of low-quality keywords, placements, and campaigns
